Ingelsta Handelscentrum
RED, in partnership with Svenska Stadsbyggen, has acquired Ingelsta Handelscentrum from German Deka Immobilien. The retail area comprises nearly 40,000 square meters of premises.
About the project
– We at RED have previously been involved in Ingelsta Handelscentrum, when we acquired the retail area in 2017 together with the British fund Standard Life Investments. We carried out a rapid restructuring and initiated a new detailed plan and participated in the sale of the area in 2019 to Deka. Now being given the opportunity to buy back the area together with a stable partner in the form of Svenska Stadsbyggen, which also has extensive experience in property development, gives us great opportunities to complete the development project that we started in 2017. We look forward to continuing the refinement of Ingelsta, which in our opinion has the best location in Norrköping, says Ronald Rico, CEO of RED.
As part of this refinement, the area will receive a restaurant in the form of Chop Chop, and two operators will install fast charging stations for electric cars. The range of options at the retail area will also be strengthened through an expansion that will prepare space for both Intersport and Elgiganten.
