SOS Children’s Villages
We are proud to announce that we have initiated a collaboration with SOS Children’s Villages! As a partner, we support the construction of a family house in District 12 of Santa Cruz, the poorest district of Santa Cruz, in eastern Bolivia.
SOS Children’s Villages is a worldwide child rights organization that operates in 135 countries. The organization is one of the world’s largest actors in childcare and makes a difference through long-term and comprehensive efforts. SOS Children’s Villages works for children to be entitled to a loving home and opportunity to grow up to strong, independent adults. There are currently 220 million children in the world who have lost parental care, or risk losing it, because their parents are unable to care for them. Our vision is that no child will have to grow up alone.
Willys extends and a new tenant is contracted in Ingelsta, Norrköping
RED has on behalf of Standard Life Investment extended the lease agreement with the food retailer Willys in Ingelsta Retail Park in Norrköping. Willys will reallocate their surface and a reconstruction of the store will begin during the autumn. RED has also contracted a new actor that will strengthen the retail park and contribute to more traffic and movement in the area.
Relaunch for Stora Bernstorp – demolition and newbuilding
Media Markt is being demolished and new large Bauhaus warehouse of 17 000 sqm is being erected. RED (Rico Estate Development), together with an institutional investor, plans for a great remake of Stora Bernstorp in Arlöv directly north of Malmö.
RED has further plans to make the retail park area more attractive. Including an expansion of the retail park area with focus on food, furniture and restaurants.
XXL & Toy’s R Us to LÄNNA MARKET
RED is assigned of Standard Life Investments as commercial developer, to work out a new commercial scheme for the area, in order to increase the attractivity of the market place with new strong retail brands. The first phase of the project will be initiated at the beginning of 2017 and will comprehend a complete makeover of the so called MediaMarkt and Citygross building. The building will in the future include City Gross, XXL, Toy’s R US and Media Markt.
The work of further developing the area is continuing and comprehends an extensive re-profiling of the area and we have ongoing encouraging discussions with several new Retailors.
RED continues to co-operate with Hand-in-Hand
RED initiated in April 2016 our second cooperation with Hand in Hand Sweden through their “Village Upliftment Program, VUP”, this time in the village in Piplya Khut in Madya Pradesh, India. The project, “Hjälp till självhjälp”, with the aim of creating conditions for sustainable development with a focus on female entrepreneurship. Thereto great actions for the village inhabitant in the areas health, citizen centre, environment, school and elimination of child labour.

Trademax strengthens Birsta Retail Park
RED has on behalf of Aviva Investors brokered a lease agreement to Trademax in Birsta Retail Park, Sundsvall. The leased premises is approximately 1 240 sqm. Trademax will open during spring 2016.
City Gross TO Värmdö Marknad
Red has on behalf of Genesta Property Nordic brokered a lease agreement to City Gross. The leased premises is approximately 5 450 sqm. The store will be reconstructed to adapt to City Gross concept. The tenant will contribute to strengthen the retail park Värmdö Marknad with its well established brand. City Gross estimates to open their store during autumn 2016.
Sportson to Birsta Retail Park
RED has on behalf of Aviva Investors brokered a lease agreement of approximately 440 sqm to Sportson in Birsta, Sundsvall. Sportson will move in to a vacant premises and will contribute to further strengthen the retail park. Sportson is expected to open during spring 2016.
SOVA replaces Skopunkten/Din sko in Kungens Kurva
RED has on behalf of Standard Life Investments brokered a lease agreement of 1 000 sqm to SOVA in Kungens Kurva. SOVA takes over the store which was formerly occupied by Skopunkten/Din sko. The store will be reconstructed to adapt to SOVA:s new outlet concept.
RED relocates EM to Tornby, Linköping
RED has on behalf of Aberdeen Asset Management brokered a lease agreement of approximately 2 600 sqm to EM in Tornby, Linköping. The tenant will relocate their current store and will contribute to strengthen Tornby Retail Park. Em will open during spring 2016.
RED expands Valbo Köpstad with three new market leading tenants
RED expands Valbo Köpstad by contracting Elgiganten, Toys ” R” US and SOVA to open their new stores next to XXL. The construction of the new building will take place during 2016, the new tenants intends to open their stores gradually from autumn 2016 until spring 2017. RED develops together with KF Fastigheter and Konsum Gävleborg the north part of the retail park in Valbo Köpstad, Gävle.
Chilli extends in Västerås
RED has on behalf of Standard Life Investments extended the lease agreement with Chilli in Erikslund retail park, Västerås.
Stadium Outlet to Hälla Retail Park
RED has on behalf of Vencom/Rockspring brokered a lease agreement to Stadium Outlet with approximately 1 775 sqm in Västerås. Stadium Outlet will open their new store during spring 2015.
Kronans Droghandel extends in Erikslund, Västerås
RED has on behalf of Standard Life Investments extended the lease agreement with Kronans Droghandel in Erikslund retail park, Västerås.
Ljusexperten relocates in Erikslund, Västerås
RED has on behalf of Standard Life Investments extended the lease agreement with Ljusexperten in Erikslund, Västerås. The tenant will relocate to larger premises of approximately 945 sqm.
Flügger extends in Kungsback
RED has on behalf of Standard Life Investments extended the lease agreement with Flügger in Kungsbacka.
Ö&B and an international sport- and fashion chain reinforces the retail park Noret, Mora
RED expands in Mora when Ö&B selects to relocate their present store and an international sport- and fashion chain establishes a new store in the retail park.
The new building is under construction and the new tenants will open their stores during autumn 2016.
RED has now leased nearly 11 300 sqm to several market leading retail stores in Mora.
Leos Lekland to Stora Bernstorp, Burlöv
RED (Rico Estate Development AB) has on behalf of AXA Real Estate Investment Mangers brokered a lease agreement of approximately 4 700 sqm to Leos Lekland in Stora Bernstorp, Burlöv. The tenant will open in the end of 2015. Leos Lekland will contribute to strengthen the area in connection with the reconstruction which takes place in Stora Bernstorp Retail Park.
Ersboda Retail Park strengthens with the Sport Retailer XXL
XXL does their first establishment in Västerbotten
The Norwegian sport retailer XXL does their first establishment in Västerbotten by opening XXL in Ersboda Retail Park, Umeå. Current tenants in the property are Willys and Jula and the property will extends with approximately 4 000 sqm. Opening will take place during spring 2016.
Citycon and RED has a joint-venture collaboration in order to develop the property Länken 1 located in the retail park Ersboda in Umeå. The development of the property will take place by construction of a new building located in between todays existing buildings, where XXL will be located in the middle. The buildings have a great location with large facades, good sign opportunities from Cementvägen and excellent parking possibilities.
Ersboda Retail Park is today the largest external retail park in Umeå outside the city center. Umeå is Sweden largest city north of Uppsala and have a population that exceeds the average Swedish city.
RED expands Mora Noret Retail Park
RED developed during 2013 a new retail park area in Noret, Mora. By that time approximately 8 000 sqm retail area were conducted for the detail concepts; Jula, Rusta, Intersport and Elgiganten.
RED prepares now for a second phase of approx. 3 600 sqm retail. The tenants for the project is not yet official but RED has signed agreement with leading retail concepts which will open during autumn 2016.
RED “FILLS UP “ NEW RETAILER IN BIRSTA RETAIL PARK AREA SUNDSVALL
RED has on behalf of Media Markt brokered a lease agreement of approx. 1 500 sqm to a new international retailer in the Birsta Retail Park area. The tenant will open a new store in-between the Media Markt unit and the Mio unit. The Retailer will strengthen the area and contribute to more traffic and movement in the area. New facade lighting and re-profiling of the building will create a strong identity for the building and an improved exposure towards the highway (E4). Opening is expected in late autumn 2015.
RED “FILLS UP “ WITH LAGER 157 IN KUNGENS KURVA
RED has on behalf of Standard Life Investments brokered a lease agreement of 2 000 m2 to Lager 157 in Kungens Kurva. Lager 157 will move in to the former H&M unit next to Din Sko. Lager 157 will hereby fill up the last vacant unit in this area. New façade lighting and re-profiling of the building as the Lager 157 house in Kungens Kurva will create a strong identity for the building and an improved exposure for Lager 157. Opening is expected in autumn 2015.
RED MEDIATES A LEASING AGREEMENT TO PICARD IN VÄRMDÖ KÖPCENTRUM
RED has on behalf of Vencom Property Partners brokered a lease agreement of 258 sqm to Picard in Värmdö Köpcentrum. Picard is a well-known French food chain that offers high qualitative deep frozen food. The opening is scheduled for Spring 2015.

RED VISITS ALANDA!
RED has recently visited the village Alanda in India. Through the organisation Hand-in-Hand Sweden, RED has since April 2013 been sponsoring a ”Village Upliftment Programme” in the village of Alanda. The programme consists of five focus areas:
– Elimination of child employment, All children should attend school
– Job Creation, through self-help groups and micro-loans for women
MIO established unit in Södertälje
RED has on behalf of Media Markt administrated the transfer of an agreement regarding Media Markts previous unit of approximately 3.500 sqm located in the Retail Park area Vasa in Södertälje. Mio estimates to open a new store in the former Media Markt Premises by autumn 2015.

RED MOVES CHILLI IN KUNGENS KURVA TO STANDARD LIFE INVESTMENTS
RED has on behalf of Standard Life Investments brokered a lease agreement of 2500 sqm to Chilli in Kungens Kurva. Chilli takes the entire building, which was formerly occupied to by Stadium and H&M. New facade lighting and re-profiling of the building as the Chilli house in Kungens Kurva will create a strong identity for the building and an improved exposure for Chilli. Opening is expected in March or April 2015. RED has ongoing discussions with other brands that will be able to further increase the areas attraction.
RED SIGNED NEW LEASING AGREEMENT WITH ABERDEEN
RED who recently established Ballingslöv on Tornbys Retail Park in Linköping for Aberdeen has again been chosen to work with the letter of vacant premises in Linköping.
RED IS PLANNING A TRIP TO INDIA
RED is planning to visit the village Alanda in state Odisha, India. RED has since four years sponsored the organisation Hand in Hand. In April 2013 Hand in Hand started a two-years project called “Hjälp till självhjälp” (help people to help themself) with the aim of creating conditions for sustainable development with a focus on female entrepreneurship. Work is currently taking place in the South of India and got more expansion plans for other states in India and also Sri Lanka. Hand in Hand India’s goal is to create 10 million jobs. COOPERATION REGARDING CONTINUED DEVELOPMENT OF VALBO KÖPSTAD IN GÄVLE
RED develops together with Valbo Volymhandel AB (owned by Coop Fastigheter and Konsum Gävleborg) the north part of the retail park in Valbo Köpstad, Gävle. The retail park covering around 30 000 m² new retail areas and is expected to develop in phases the next three to five years. RED are discussing right now with tenants who together accommodates more than 20,000 m².

RED has on behalf of Aberdeen signed 729 sqm with Ballingslöv for Aberdeen’s property in Tornby.
RED AND CITYCON DEVELOPS EXTERNAL COMMERCIAL PROPERTY IN UMEÅ
RED signed a joint venture with Citycon to develop the property in Ersboda, Umeå. The property accommodates Willys and Jula today, the intention is to develop more retail on the property.
